In the summer edition of the Geislerecho, an article was published with the invitation to this year's event GeschichtsKult, which can now take place again after the pandemic years. A delegation of Welschtiroler standing shooters in historical uniforms will present equipment and weapons from the time of the 1st World War in the facilities at the Wetterkreuz above the village from 5 p.m. World War II. At around 8 p.m., the scientific advisor of the working group, Oswald Mederle, shows field telephones and other historical means of communication and describes the possibilities and the functioning of the communication at that time.

On Wednesday 12 July, the Teis Trenches Working Group, the SVP Local Committee and the Teis Education Committee organised this year's GeschichtsKult theme evening to present the status of the Trenches project to around 80 interested parties, as well as the freshly printed brochure on the trenches in Teis.

July 2017 - "Brixner"
At the end of July Oswald Mederle, together with some members of the working group "Schützengräben Teis" and the "Brixner" made a local inspection of the trenches at the Wetterkreuz in Teis. The editor Veronika Kerschbaumer and photographer Oswald Zingerle were able to get a good overview.

October 2016 - Daily newspaper
In the Saturday/Sunday, 8/9 October 2016, the new South Tyrolean daily newspaper published a report entitled "Hidden trenches" about the trenches in Teis with the interview of Luis Fischnaller. It would also refer to the guided tours at the traditional Bauernfestl on 16 October.

On Wednesday 22 July, the Teis Trenches Working Group and the Teis Education Committee organised a lecture entitled ‘In the Footsteps of the First World War’. World War’ in the Teis clubhouse with Oswald Mederle.
After the lecture, the approximately 65 attendees were able to exchange ideas during a small conversion.

June 2016
On Saturday 4 June, the Teis Trenches Working Group organised a visit to the trenches in Teis under the leadership of Toni Fischnaller. Toni told the approximately 20 participants about the terrible events of the war around 1915.

On Saturday 9 April, the Teis Trenches Working Group and the Teis Education Committee organised a training trip to the southern Tyrolean front area on the Nagia Grom to visit the old trenches, caverns and positions.
Around 30 interested participants were accompanied by Oswald Mederle.
